Films for meaningful change.
The Coda Collective periodically donates professional filmmaking and storytelling services to organizations doing meaningful work. A small, selective initiative, with the same care and cinematic craft we bring to every production.
Stories with a purpose.
Pro bono films for organizations supporting people through difficult moments.
Hope House | Women Supporting Women

Covenant House Toronto | Megan’s Story
Pro bono film · Megan shares her experience of finding support through Covenant House.
From understanding to action.
Our commissioned work also informs this initiative: making complex ideas accessible, building trust and giving people a clear next step.
Women’s College Hospital | ATM Gene Mutation Testing
Commissioned public-health campaign · A family’s story helps explain genetic testing and encourages eligible community members to take the next step.
How we choose projects
We look for work we believe in, a clear audience and a practical plan for putting the film to use—whether that means reaching donors, helping people access a service or encouraging a useful action.
We consider the difference a film could make, the care the story requires and what we can realistically contribute. Together, we agree on a focused scope and a way to understand whether it helped.
This is professional production capacity donated selectively, alongside our commissioned work.
Could a film help your work go further?
Tell us about your organization, who you want to reach and what you hope a film could change. We consider projects as capacity allows.
